Origin of Obsidian

Origin of Obsidian is my son’s band, formed with his friends through Bach to Rock in Nanuet, NY, and I designed their branding to reflect the bold, energetic sound they create. The logo features a geometric obsidian stone pyramid set against dynamic flames, symbolizing strength and intensity. A striking palette of reds, yellows, grays, and blacks evokes fire, earth, and rock—perfectly aligning with their name—while bold typography emphasizes power and presence. Together, these elements create a cohesive, professional, yet edgy identity the band can proudly take on stage.
